It is a social networking site. There are many other such sites like Google, Yahoo, and Msn to name a few but Facebook takes precedence due to its salient features and constant innovation. There are many advantages in usage of Facebook, and here are some of them:

 It is tough to hack it. Even if it is hacked the users can restore it easily.
 You can create the account by an email id though Yahoo; Gmail and others.
 After creating it, the security questions will be there. You’ve to choose it to retrieve your account when it is hacked.
 You can find and make new friends; chat; send message; poke; and suggest.
 You can add photos, update status, and do many such things.
 There are many apps which will entertain and educate you. For instance, there are apps such as Top 10 best friends, City villa, Mafia War, and Who is your inspiration to name a few.
 You can create groups, add friends of your choice, and can explore many things.
 Presently prestigious business houses, publishers, film makers, and others are creating groups and links in Facebook and promoting their products and services. Hence, it serves as publicity tool also.

Facebook is innovating and including new features and applications to meet the rising aspirations of its users. Although it has several advantages it has some disadvantages as well. For instance, users glue to it for a long time, and waste their precious time. To sum up, everything has its merits and demerits and it depends on how people use it. Hence, use it wisely.
